5103 valve adjustment

I'm getting ready to tear into my 5103 that has a skip when first started and plan on adjusting the valves among other things
(checking injectors). As far as what I can find out the settings are .014 intake and .018 Exhaust. Is this a hot or cold setting and is it correct? Also just wondering how much difference there is between setting them hot compared to cold. I realize the hot setting gives you a better reading because it is taken at working temp.

IIRC I found a service manual on line for the engine model in my 5105. I thought they were cold settings ? I also had an I & T manual for older tractors that had the same 3 cyl. engine. Procedure was the same.
