John Deere B light switch/harness

I have a 1948 John Deere for which I am attempting to restore normal light function. I thought I would modernize the light switch to one with a fuse. The tractor has a 12 volt system with a voltage regulator. Is there a particular light switch I should be looking for or will any universal one do the trick? Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Peter Markel

Take a look at the diagram below.

You might consider using a "universal" light switch and installing an inline amp fuse on the black connection lead.

Hope this helps.

Thank you that does help. I will study the generator on the tractor tomorrow and compare it to your diagram.
