umbrella holder

I have a JD umbrella holder. I want to put it on my 49 A that i just purchased. Can anyone tell me where it mounts on the tractor? Thanks ed

Take a look at the photo below of "Old John" Nancy's 48A.

Hope this helps.

James,

You beat me to the punch! With any luck at all that's the kind of holder he has. Hope you didn't get any of that bad weather the other day.

Had a lot of high winds and heavy rain come through between 10pm and 2am.

There was some erosion to dirt work that was done last week.

Have not "walked" all the farm to check for other water or wind damage.

Definitely "dodged a bullet" this time around.

Good to hear. We were in an RV park in Amarillo on the 26th or 28th of June in 2013 and a hailstorm and the edge of a tornado came through. $4K damage to the motor home and $8K damage to our 2011 Honda CR-V tow vehicle.

Thanks for the reply.

The very one that is pictured above. The "pole" that comes from the umbrella down through that seat bracket and anchors at the pto shield at the bottom. That seat clamp alone can't keep a long pole from wobbling. It needs two anchor points, the seat bracket and pto shield. There's a lot of force way at the top when wind blows. Now the one for the pan seat tractors just clamps to the pole with no other attachments since the pan seat bounces up/down. Not near as strong.
