JD Unstyled B Service Manual

Working on a BO and was wondering what service manual would you folks use? Should I get SM-2000 or SM-2004? Or both? I know SM2004 covers from sn# 96000 and up but thinking it could come in handy.

There is a post back on page 5 entitled "Manuals" by Mark Poss that might answer your questions.
SM-2004 is specifically for late styled B but most of the procedures and adjustments are similar throughout many of the two-cylinder tractors.

SM-2004 also covers early styled B's from 1941 on, as well as late styled B's.

Huh.......maybe something has changed then. The copy I have (maybe 20 years old) says 201000-up. The publications catalog I have shows SM-2000 as the recommended book for most of the others.

My SM-2004 (9-29-48) says "Serial # 96000 and up"
