whine or growl coming from clutch or first reduction area when clutch is engaged and tractor is moving, seems to be louder with increased load, no whine when going downhill.no whining when clutch engaged while stationary.thought of pulley bearing but it only spins when clutch is disengaged.what else could cause this?
 
2nd that. Just went through my G transmission . Pull the shifter off and look down in the trans. Start pulling on the gears and shafts for any excess play. Chances are ( like my G ) the small holes that oil the bearing are plugged off and the bearing has failed .
