2020 Clutch Settings

Next Phase, get this thing set correctly. I think the reason the PTO clutch didn't work before was because the fingers were set too tight and the thrust bearing never pushed them far enough to disengage the PTO. The thrust bearing has approx 1.25" of travel where the fingers has a possible 2.875", so I'm seeing they definitely could have been set too tight, not ever getting down far enough to push on the PTO dowel pins.

My findings from the forum search:
(quoted from post at 03:13:45 04/30/11)...the IT manual the first section on the dual stage clutch tell you to contact the pto pins with the operating levers and "tighten" the nut 2-1/2 turns and two pages later it tells you to back off the nuts 2-1/2 turns after contact with the pto pins????? Contact +2-1/2 tuns is the correct adjustment.

My JD manual is in the mail so until then, is the 2.5 turns quoted above the correct setting for the fingers? Any other baselines for the other linkages?

Thanks again!
