51 A needs re-wiring

I need to replace all the wiring. Is there a best wire to use? There is currently a mix of original and newer wire on the tractor. The newer wire is plastic coated and cracked. Thanks.

Why not just buy a wiring harness. Brillmans makes one just like the original

If originality is an issue,then get one from Brillmans. If some of the electrical system has been modified and you are not going back to the original, you'll have to make one. I have done several using automotive wire and spiral wound sleeve that you can get at Radio Shack. With a little care you can make neat looking job of it.
