I have a 1935 JD B that jumps out of low range after a little while, but always stays in high range, any suggestions. Thanks Doug

If you take the top cover off it will let you know what is bad. Then you might have to get deeper!

Not 1st or 2nd, it is the low range that it pops out of, can you take the cover of to fix or is it deeper than that

It could be worn sliding gear or shaft. Possibley the bearing on that shaft is bad too. Been there and done that. Most likely it is not the detent or spring....

Are you referring to the high low lever or a specific gear? Either could be a worn detent, weak denent spring, or worn/rounded gear teeth, but knowing which will help narrow down the problem. If it pops out of both 1st and 3rd, it is in the high/lo gear cluster or its detent. If it is in 1st only, then it is likely the teeth on the sliding first gear and the corresponding countershaft gear. If it is 1st and 2nd, it is likely the detent on the shifter.
