1947 A running better (video)

Great job saving that one. Great video also. As far as painting,
thats up to you. If you want to have it all nice and shinny and do
all that work then paint it. Looks like your having fun just like it is.
I like mine looking like they have had a long life on the farm.

(quoted from post at 07:13:53 07/30/12) Doesn"t appear to be original paint ??? If not I say paint it.. She seems worthy !!! at least sounds that way LOL !!!

Thanks so much everyone for the compliments!

Yeah, I don't think it's completely original paint--at least it seems to have had a touch up job at one point. Some of the old grease I removed had some paint on it. It had never been moved for my entire lifetime, so I have no idea when it would have happend.

I guess it is your preference, to paint or not. My opinion is, after growing up running those tractors for real farming, I would leave it in its work clothes. I have an A very much like it, and like it just the way it is. PS You have a very good running tractor.

Really enjoyed your video.

Your tractor looks good to me and sounds even better.

We only paint the real ugly ones.

Wow, that's pretty impressive. In your case, the paint job really did make quite a difference! It looks like an entirely different machine...

That's kind of what I was thinking too--she may not have a fresh coat of paint, but it does have a sense of beauty the way it is.... I took this photo the same day I shot the video.

Success!! It sounds great, just like it should. It
is easy to hear the second pop on those lower RPM
tractors. Idle it way down and the second pop is
very distinct.

"Second pop" may not be the correct words, but
that's what I call it.
