I was wondering if anyone can take a pic of a hydraulic mounted plow hooked up to a H? I have a plow and tractor and just cant seem to figure out how to put it together. Thanks Aaron email pics if you could to [email protected]

aaron,
Assuming you're referring to an H1 plow, and not one of several other hydraulically-operated integral plows designed for the model "H" tractor, the first scan is of the power-lift version of that plow shown on the inside cover of PC-269, the parts catalog for this plow. You can download this catalog for free from a Deere website, jdparts.com.

A few pictures of this unit on a tractor are also shown below.

I dont think mine is the H1 it seems the plow frame is a lot shorter and I believe it has a chain hook up on the front of it versus hooking to the tractor frame. Any ideas of the model? thanks

Aaron,

John Deere made several different Integral/Mounted plows for the "H".

Plows for the "H" included :

H-1

H-3

H-4

H-5 / H-10

Does your plow have a tail wheel ??

Photos show the H-5 and H-10 plows for the "H".....the H-10 throws the dirt left and the H-5 throws right.
The chain on the front end of the beam controls the depth of plowing.
A two piece bracket attaches to the drawbar frame into which the plow slides into and is then bolted to the drawbar.
If this looks similar to what you have I can send a larger image of the last photo. Rich

that looks very close to mine. It must be a H5. my hitch plate is rounded without holes? Is that normal? Thanks for the pics that may help put mine on.

Aaron,

If you do have an H-5 plow .......you may be missing some mounting parts.
The H-5 plow has a plate mounted on the plow itself which fits between two plates bolted to the drawbar frame.
When you say your hitch plate has no holes are you talking about the plate on the plow itself?
Is there a way you can post pictures of your plow and the brackets that you have?

Aaron.

The photos of the bracket and large spring doesn't go with your plow if my memory serves me right.

You still need the two plates with a curved edge which bolt onto the tractor drawbar frame. Somewhere along the line they may have been left on the tractor and taken off later and misplaced. It would be not too hard to make a set.

Once you have the plates you have everything needed to mount your plow and go plowing.

Good Luck, Rich

I don't have a picture of the two plates. The number 3 pic shows the plate that goes between the two plates.

From John Deere you can get an operating manual for the H5, H10 Integral Tractor Plow for the "H" tractor. Ask for :

OMA 21245 for the paper version.

OMA 21245CD which would be the CD version.
