Brought the new project home. This will be my 5 year old sons first tractor needs a little work but has a rebuilt motor and head. And paid scrap value for it. More pics to come

We had a 1946 that we got in 47. Had a waiting list after the War. It looks just like ours.

That serial number puts right about in the middle of 1945.

Will is right, it's a 45. Just a rough estimate, but the tractor was likely built about 9/13/44, as a 45 year model. Maybe that's why the guy said it was a 44?
I would be interested to know if the serial number tag is steel or aluminum? My guess is aluminum, as I think the change back was around 170000, but don't know for sure and am trying to narrow it down more.

It also is an all fuel model and has the working factory tank selector it has a dltx34 carb I believe if I remember that correctly..

If it was a 47 or 48 it would have a battery box under the seat.Its a 41-46.

No cast iron frame, and the radiator cap is too large. The 44 had a pressurised radiator and used a cap like a car.
