Where the hell is the serial number on an unstyled A?

I believe its behind the pulley. Right side.

in front of and to the top of the flywheel on the LEFT side. Mounted on the side of the block.

Bmaniac is right. Ahead of the flywheel. As to that other place, when I die and go there, I'll check it out and let you know where the plates are on the A's down there. Jim

ben,
The number is stamped on an aluminum plate by the flywheel and could very easily be missing. Look for a couple of 1/8" +- holes or sheared off rivets about three inches apart. Good luck. VH

unstyled and styled tractors have them on opposite sides, right?
