2550 injection pump drips and hyd filter question

I have a slow drip coming from near the injection pump. One drop every 10 sec or so while running. Is it likely on this model that I have a start of a cracked line, perhaps it there an o-ring going out or is there no o-ring and a hard connection? The drip is coming off the lowest line near the pump connection but line above looks like it may be damp. Lots of grime there that I have to go clean off to diagnose exactly where it may be coming from. Just wanting to get an idea prior to starting to check it out.

This tractor likes to poke fun at me. Every time I think I have the last problem fixed another one shows up. Go Figure...

Also, I need to change the lube filter. Looks like I have to disconnect the hoses and hard line coming from the ported cover prior to getting the cover off. How much hyd. fluid will I lose?

When you have the fuel line off, give it the fingernail test. Feel the flare, if your fingernail snags on it...replace the line. There is no fixing those little cracks, and it won"t get better by itself.

The best thing to do is clean the pump really well and blow it completely dry, - no shiny wet spots and then look for where the seepage starts to appear. Use a good light and a mirror to see the very first wet spot.
