2020 PTO Won't Disengage

I got my fuel tank leak and mid PTO seal fixed, now the third point of order, PTO won't disengage. I have the standard 2 stage clutch and the lever on the left side works to shift the PTO into gear, but the clutch does nothing to disengage it. Is there an adjustment for that?

Thanks

The only pto control lever I find for a mid-pto tractor with dual stage shows 540/1000 rpm. Does your tractor have this 1000 rpm pto option?? If so I'm guessing the needle brg(parts key #18) is the problem.

I believe my mid PTO is 1000 RPM

I'm talking about both the mid and rear PTO. They each have their own shifter lever to put them in gear on the left side of the transmission by your left foot. Both these shifters work fine and will put their respective PTO in gear. I have no use for the Mid PTO, but I am trying to use the rear. Right now, if the rear PTO is in gear, it spins all the time if the tractor is running, regardless if the clutch is depressed.

Can you feel the two stages of the clutch? First stage is the traction clutch where you stop forward movement. After that the pedal should push harder for about the same distance farther as it disengages the pto portion of the clutch. I would have to look at a book to give the proper adjustment dimensions.

Does rear pto stub shaft bolt on?????? As I've previously stated I've never seen a Dubuque utility tractor with a mid pto so I'm guessing diagnostics. I'm now leaning toward parts key #35 as being the problem or as Cliff has stated maybe the pto clutch isn't fully disengaging. But if frt part of pto shaft is powered the rear section should be disconnected when back pto lever is disengaged.

Can't feel the two stages at all. After the traction clutch disengages it feels the same all the way to the floor.

Sounds like your clutch disc came apart and climbed up on the other half, jamming it "on",,

Dubuque or Mannheim and Saran on the serial number plates? Maybe a serial number plate on the side of the trans above the oil filter and near the rear axle on the right side.
