2020 Mid PTO Seal

Anybody able to instruct me on replacing the Mid PTO seal on a 2020 diesel? I have the 2-stage clutch. Recently changed the trans fluid and now it drips considerably from the Mid PTO shaft. I don't believe mine matches the pictures I can find on JDParts.

Any help would be appreciated. It kind of looks like it needs to be split to get to a seal from the inside...

Thanks

It appears to be the type of seal where the metal isn't very think. With a pointed punch, awl, screwdriver or the like, you should be able to drive it through the metal, get a screwdriver in the hole and pry it out. Sure, you'll totally destroy it getting it out, but who cares, you're replacing it anyway, right? When installing, be careful not to cut the lip surface of the new seal as you slide it over the PTO splines.

Mid pto's on utility tractors weren't very popular at dealership where I did work. I don't remember seeing one in person. I think I have it figured out. If you look at your photo you can see the 2 of the 4 stud ends(parts key #25 in lower photo) that are bolted in to the clutch housing to hold parts key #1 to clutch housing. The seal you'll need is AT21420(parts key #12) I think the 3 bolt holes in the protruding brg holder that is in your photo are to bolt a pto guard on to but I've been unsuccessful in locating guard in the parts catalog to confirm.

I see what you"re saying Tx Jim. Ill clean above the housing to
see if the top two studs are visible. My dealer had also never
seen a mid PTO on a 2020.

Is that seal indeed removed from the front? I"ve got the seal,
I just haven"t figured out how to replace it.

Thanks!
