5020 hydraulics

Have a 5020....when putting spacers on hydraulic cylinder for depth control, cylinder just crushes them-will not stop. Handle will not pop back when cylinder reaches spacers. what is wrong?

Check the stand by pressure at the out lets, should be 2250psi yours sounds like it may be a bit higher, if it is back the adjusting screw out a little on the under side of the front pump, till it gets right.

More than likely some worn parts on the detent mechanism such as cams or rollers. 1st photo early design,2nd & 3rd photo late design

Jugs are you using the farm store aluminum ones? That could be some of the problem if you are. Deere has cast one- little spendy but they out live those aluminum ones about 10 fold.
