The 2630 I bought last week has a 540 shaft that pulls pulls out after removing the snap ring. Person I bought tractor from guessed the shaft might be reversible but apparently that ain't so. Will a 1000 rpm shaft interchange with the 540? Owners manual just says it was an option and parts book show both shafts. I have the live PTO without the mid-mount PTO option.
Also, will the 2630 handle a 15ft bat-wing? I've always heard 5hp/ft so that's only 5hp under. Will be used to cut 12-24" tall-fescue/timothy.

Thanks - noticed the shafts for the 3020's and 4020's are only $50.

If it will come out by removing a snap ring then it is a 540/1000 shaft, you will need to buy a 1000 rpm stub shaft and swap them out,,,as for the 15 ft mower you will be asking a lot out of that rather 'light duty' PTO clutch...the 2630 engines handed out a bit more than the drive line would deal with....

Yes - real prawns - although this year we are switching the ponds to bream (bluegill) for a couple of years. Lots of imported shrimp from Indonesia now days. . . . . :-( I'm wanting the bat-wing to mow waterways and the pond levees. Seems like most of the used batwings around are 15 ft although I did spot a Bushog 3610 - at any rate almost all of them seem to be 1000 rpm mowers.
