3010 Carb problem or ?

I have a 63 3010. Had it about 4 years and has been a good runner but last year started showing these problems.
Will not restart when hot. After running a few hours, if you were to shut it off it to switch implements, it would not restart. Come back a few hours later and it would fire right up.
Hard starting when cold. If you didn't get it the first crank, it would be very hard to start. When it did fire, you would have to slowly give it a little more throttle at a time, or it would quit. Once warmed up, it runs like a champ. It is parked in a heated shop, so it not a cold temperature thing. Plugs look good, seems to have good blue spark.
Here are a few pics of the carburetor that is on the machine. Want to get into this now that the weather is starting to warm up but not quite sure where I should start.
Thanks

do you think it may be running rich? do you see any black smoke? does it start better cold (outside)?if yes I would clean carb internally and check float height. If fuel runs out of carb at any time check needle and seat. If you say no to this, I would use carb cleaner around the intake to look for a vacuum leak. look around the intake to head gasket and carb to intake gasket. I have seen cracked intakes running on the back side, you will need to remove it to see it. Last pull the heat riser blocks and look for leaks to intake internally. Don't give up, I just finished 3020 overhaul and they are a sweet running tractor
good luck

Sometimes when starting cold with the choke I will see a little black smoke. Have not checked timing. When it is warmed up, it runs like a champ. I will dig into it tomorrow and see what I can find.
