Driving around the 1939 John Deere A after doing some work on it throughout the winter. We replaced the radiator core, muffler, and rebuilt carburator. This is the same tractor that I made the time lapse reassembly video of.

(quoted from post at 05:18:28 03/07/12) Tractor looking great....but I'm curious where you're located? You've got some gorgeous scenery there.

Why thank you! It is a fun little tractor! I'm located in Star Valley, Wyoming. It's about 50 miles south of Jackson Wy. Our farm is also in April of the 2011 John Deere calendar (if anyone still has a copy lol). You can see http://www.kyleweber.name for more photos and sots of the tractor(s).

Very nice tractor; sounds like its running good too.

Always enjoy videos of antique JD tractors.

Thanks for sharing your video with us.

Is that the same 'A' that is shown on the calendar? The background in the calendar picture looks like it could be near the airport at Jackson, but maybe the whole valley is flat like that, eh?

The A in the calendar was the first tractor we had on our farm. I think it's about a 1939-1940 A with my grandfather pushing alfalfa with the buck rake. The whole reason I have the 1939 A that I have now was that I wanted an A that as closely replicates our original one as possible. I was unable to find the calendar online to show everyone what we are talking about, but I have a post on my site with the tractor photo at http://www.kyleweber.name/2011/06/28/john-deere-model-a/

Here's a photo I took of it tonight. In case you were wondering, yes, the decals are not correct. That's how it was when I bought it last year. I will change it this summer.
