2020 Vertical Exhaust Job Pictures

I thought I'd put up a few pictures of the quick and easy job of converting from a horizontal exhaust to a vertical one on a 2020. Got the manifold and muffler from the YT parts store so that was easy. Old manifold came off perfectly and no bolts broke so installing the new one was a breeze. Now cutting the hole:

I reached under the hood with the new manifold on and put a dot with a sharpie where I though the middle of the outlet was. I drilled the 5/8 hole for the nibbler there. After drilling that hole I saw I was a bit off and traced that circle on the hood just by eyeballing it with the muffler in my hand.

Was pretty darn close, I only had to take another sliver off to get the muffler started down on the manifold. After that I just traced the oval as best I could.

Picture of going around with the nibbler. I just bought it off Amazon for $30 and it was my first time ever using one. VERY easy to use. Great buy in my opinion.

I had to make the oval just a little bigger after my first cut.

Here's what it looks like

It may be a little close to the hood. It didnt rattle while it was running but I may have to trim it some more one I take it to the field.

Anybody need a complete horizontal set of pipes and manifold with new muffler?

You did good, it's a task to do one with out a template, if you pien the edges to round them off your hole will be about right, rounding the edges gives it a bit more rigidity and helps with the sharp edge.
