2020 Vertical Exhaust

I just got a 2020 diesel with the downward horizontal exhaust and I want to change it to the vertical. Looking at the manifold, can I just reverse it to put the outlet up, put a flange on an oval muffler, cut a nice hole in the (already dented and faded) hood and have a vertical exhaust? Anything not fit like I'm seeing it?

Thanks

No, they are different, you will need a vertical manifold ..then the trick is putting the hole in the hood...I have made a template off another hood, use a nibbler to open it up then pien the edge down a bit with a dolly...

Check JD parts to be sure, but I think you need to get a different manifold. When I changed my 2520 from underneath to vertical exhaust I was able to get an aftermarket manifold.

Guys I know there is a different manifold for vertical exhaust from the factory. I'm asking if anybody has just flipped the factory horizontal one to have its outlet up.

No, it won't work out by just flipping it, I knew what you meant,,it would be great if it would,,Darn it....

I'd prefer not to have the muffler right by the steering wheel, and right by where you get on/off. Me or someone else would surely graze it and get burned eventually.

No, that wouldn't work out so good, there are after market manifolds out there to go with...
