1530 Opinions

I'm thinking about going to look at a 1530 with a 37 loader and I wanted to get your input on this model.

Advertised as having "new paint, decals, new injection pump ,seat and more" No leaks and tires are all in good shape.

What do you guys think? Asking $6850

From the picture it looks pretty clean. Offer them 5,500 cash first. You can always go up.

IIRC the model 37 loader was one of the lightest duty frt end loaders that JD built. I didn't like them because they only had 1 way lift cylinders(no down pressure). One disadvantage is one can't raise frt end of tractor to repair a flat tire or even dig a hole.

Paint can hide a lot of things similar to a women's makeup.

I'm with Jim. This appears to be a classic example of a "jockey tractor". A tired tractor with a pitiful "drive-by" paint job is matched to a light duty loader and new paint is applied to lure in the unsuspecting. New paint, to me anyway, is not a bonus. All it does is hide things the seller does not want you to see. My advice is to run and run fast. Mike
