I have a chance to buy a 2010 JohnDeere tractor 1965 in not bad shape but needs head gasket.Is this tractor rare,and are parts available for it.I already have an 1830 John Deere

I appreciate the info guys and think I am going to let soom other lucky guy have it at 1500 dollars it just seemed like a good deal.it was gas with new tires

You're probably better off. Some of the parts, if you CAN find them are unbelievably expensive or 1010s and 2010s. One example is the sleeve-deck. All four sleeves are combined as a single unit and it's never been available aftermarket. Right now, it can cost $1000 from Deere. That is JUST the sleeves - not a kit and not pistons and rings.

1010 gas has its own. 2010 diesel also has its own.
But 1010 diesel and 2010 gas use the same unit.

Your lucky day to have missed the opportunity to purchase a 2010. A gasser 1010 can be made to work just fine.

ive been able to get parts for my 2010 from deere and autovalue. i have a loader on mine and its been a good tractor, couple of little things mostly caused by someone not knowing how to repair things properly

Compared to other Deere tractors, it has very poor parts availability.
