$ Turn Crankshaft 46 A

Hi All,
What is a typical price to turn an A crankshaft? A friend suggested I check
the rod bearings as long as the head was off. Bearings seem to be fairly
good with only some wear in the center. The crankshaft has some scratches
deep enough to easily hook a fingernail. Th scratches are mostly in the center
and on the back side as the journal is at its' peak vertically

Thanks, Bob.

I had my 60 crank turned earlier this year, and I think it was $130 or so for both mains and rods. 0.010's and 0.020 under rod bearings should be easy to get, 0.030 you'd want bearings in hand before you go to that size. Main Bearings will be sized to your crank after installation in your bearing housing, so that won't be a problem. Mike

Just polish it with some crocus cloth or fine sandpaper and put it together. It ran along time that way and will run a long time again. Just check your rod clearance and remove the needed shims when you install the rods.
