Both of my locking pins on my MT are oval shaped so I ordered some new ones and for some reason didn't think about how to replace them. I have now realized that to change out the pins you have to remove the whole assembly from the draw bar. Anyone have any tips on how to remove the old rivets? What have you used to replace the rivets? I was thinking about either tapping the holes and using small self tapping screws or bolts.

Hotflash, Grind the heads off the rivets and drive out, then tap to take a number 10 screw. Works well. Good Luck. John

Thanks! That's what I am going to have to do. I had to put this off until Saturday. I'll let you all know how it goes.

If they're rivited on just grind the heads of the rivits and knock them out with a punch.

The lock pin , cam ,spring and snap ring assembly should be attached to the drawbar frame by three No. 10 x 1" screws , not rivets . If this is the case , simply remove the screws and remove . If it is riveted your on your own.

I've got rounded heads on mine Mo. I tried to clean some paint to see if there were slots but so far no luck.
