51 A wont stay running

have got a 51 A JD starts and runs ok, after leaving it run for about 10 min. it just quits like the fuel was shut off, plenty of fuel flow, the bowl of carb is still full, clean tank, clean carb, its not a fuel issue from what i understand, it starts back up and does it all over again, could it be coil, condenser?

It could be the coil or condenser, but before you go buying those parts, pull the cap, and remove the points and condenser. Emery cloth the plate where the points and condenser fasten down. Ran into that on a 1600 oliver the other day.

Had my 37 ar do the same thing. Found junk in the tank. Had to clean and seal. Has not done that again.

just had a jd60 act up would quit running and not start . let sit and would run for a while and didn't sound right .found a bare wire shorting out going to generator . found because it was dark and saw sparks.
