Goto your friendly Ford car dealer and pickup a COAZ-9202-B float, for less than ten bucks.
If they don't want to deal with it, GOOGLE it for LOTS of on-line sources.

I don't think they can come separate, more than likely your sender is getting worn by now and you would be ahead just to replace the whole thing, the bouncing up and down for the last 30 or 40 years tends to wear them out..

I am a Ford Parts manager & I have the part in stock & have used it on our John Deere"s as a replacement part...
