2 bottom 412 plow

I bought a 3 point 10" ( yep - 10" for sure) 2 bottom plow years ago. Haven't used it much but have decided to fix it up and paint it.
No model number is legible but could make out John Deere logo on the one beam. It does appears to be a 412 type with an adjustable landing lever. The moldboards have minimum curl to them and the shares are triangular. One of the locals said it had scotch bottoms - Local JD Dealer had never seen one before, but if he had - it would now be obsolete of course - no parts available.
It looks to be all original. anybody come across one of these before?

Try this link. My computer is throwing a snit and
won't open pdf files from the JD site.

I have a plow with the same bottoms on it, worn out of course and no parts available. I have some newer bottoms to put on in thier place.

I worked at a JD dealer in the early 70s in parts. I remember we had a parts book covering plow bottoms only. Apparently you could order plow with whatever type bottom you wanted. I suspect all of those old plow bottom parts are now obsolete

I saw one or two Deere plows with scotch bottoms at the IPM last fall at St. Thomas, ON. Talking to folks I got the impression that Deere plows in general are fairly uncommon in Ontario. And, you are only going to find those scotch bottoms in eastern Canada and the Northeastern US.

If you're looking for parts, talk to your JD dealer, you never know what NOS parts might be laying around. It could be such a thing that you could make the IH ACE share work, and they are available around Ontario. And, those shares look simple enough I don't know why you couldn't just make a share by welding two flat plates together.

ET, I would take those bottoms off your hands once you convert your plow over.

Of course I'm in the northeast, where are you located.I will be at the 2 cylinder expo in july.I was thinking about trying to get rid of those bottoms there.

I'm in Ontario and was just at the dealer looking for scotch bottoms. They got me a one hole one and I need two hole ones. The two hole ones seem to be obsolete but you better get your wallet out for the one hole ones, $95.00 a piece.

Where do I find your E-mail address? I would rather get these bottoms to somebody who has a use for them than junk them. The moldboards are worn through and patched.
