utility exhaust on 20 series

I thought there were utility versions of the 4020 3020 with swept front axle and lower to the ground. Where did they route the exhaust on these? I thought they routed all the way down and out the back like a car. I had seen one that had it routed down by front axle. Wondering about fumes and smoke grease in a cab tractor.

My father put side exhaust on a 4020 cab tractor and it was awesome. no air cleaner pipe or muffler out the hood. made a nice bolt on patch to cover each hole and clear visibility. used the tractor for planting corn and you sure could make straight rows. He used the original manifold and made an elbow that clamped on then routed it out under the hood, and up the side of the cab front post. thats 25 years ago, for some reason I think it was on the right side of the cab, so it didnt interfere with the door. I know it was a 1969 model. muffler was rubber mounted. wish we still had it.

Look for photos of JD400 or JD500 industrial versions of the ag tractors. The JD corp parts site might have parts photos and options listed too.
