i have 50 lbs of presure when its cold 60 degree and when it warms it drops to zero changed oil filter pulled pan 15 40 oil weight, I plasti guaged the mains and the clearences were good

Do you still have the pan off? If you do pull some caps and plasti-gauge them to check the clearance, the inserts have a date on them to give you a idea on how old the O/H is..with no history on it it's hard to tell what the old Gal has been through, in the old days a lot of them were O/H'ed and never had the mains changed,,or the pump re-built,,after a few years(10 to 15) the mains are worn way ahead of the rest of the engine. The best way to get it right is a "complete" O/H...before it detonates....they are old but still worth it...

Couldn't the cam brgs also be worn enough to loose oil pressure after engine warms?

check the oring on the pump where the filter can slides over it have seen many blow out there
