1948 B hood removal

It's been one of those days, but I started to try to remove the gas tank on my wife's 1948 B. I removed the steering shaft, the bolts in the front by the grill screens, removed the dash in the back, what else holds that thing on? Does the tank come out with the hood?

The tank is removed with the hood. There are two bolts in a bracket on top of governor housing, below the tank that will loosen assembly from the tractor. Hood, tank, and bracket will be removed together. Once off then the tank can be removed from the hood. Good Luck, DW

Yes, the tank comes out with the hood.
Take the grills off. Take out the 2 bolts front and back that hold the tank supports to the tractor. Follow the wiring harness from the generator back along the bottom edge of the hood and open the clips that hold the harness in place and let the harness hang free. Disconnect the shudder rod front and back. Disconnect the fuel line at the strainer/shut-off. Have someone help you lift it off.

Might be more to do that I've forgotten. It's been a long time.

Thank you both very much. I had always heard that these were kind of backwards with the muffler bolts and what not, I guess this just goes with the rest of it.

Thanks again.
