51 A Decal Kit

Why does this decal kit from Yesterdays Tractor Co. [For Model A (1947-1952). Set of 14 self adhesive decals. Licensed by John Deere. Printed on Vinyl.(Part No: JDA2)] come with three letter A's? My 51 A has always had two that I've know of. One each side of the hood. And my tractor has another warning sticker that's not included in the kit. One on the steering post which warns about over steering.(I think this one is in this decal kit) And another warning on the back of the seat which is on a removable plate but talks about the PTO. Anybody Know what I'm talking about?

Mark Ia, I didn't buy them yet. Just wondering why the decal kit has an extra A and one less "be careful" sticker? I don't buy anything with out shopping around and double checking that it's what I need for sure!

I get all of my decals from K&K. They are very good and know what they are doing. Their number is 317-398-9883

there's only ONE place to get proper decals in my book, Jorde's decals or go home. you most often DO get what you pay for lol.

Shawn, I know everyone has a preference in this but Travis Jorde makes the most accurate decals around. I have seen the others (including another company mentioned here) and you can spot them at twenty paces. They simply are not accurate. Travis has been doing this for a very long time and if you want them to be right you will need to go to him. The others may be "close" but they aren't RIGHT. Mike

Thanks guys! I'll give him a try. I'm 4hrs from Rochester and my nephews girlfriends is from there. He's down there or she's up here every weekend. Could save me some shipping cost! haha

It must be that your A has been repainted and when the replacement decals were bought there was this decal supplied but it didn't actually belong on your A which had the plate on the seat support but was placed on the steering support post anyway. This decal was for the earlier A's that didn't have the plate on the seat support....my '48 A is like that and never had a seat plate....there are no attatching pin holes in the seat support which is, I'm pretty sure, the original. Look closely at pictures of various styled A's, in John Deere sales literature, you can see the difference, some have the plate on the seat support, some... the early ones have nothing, plate or decal, the decal is on the steering support post just above the gearshift quadrant.
