I bought my first 2cyl. Deere. It runs and drives and is supposed to have a new clutch. After I brought it home the clutch drum drips oil and has not stopped for 2 days. I am very mechanical but dont want to make the wrong mistake. Any suggestions on where to start??

Start by checking the engine oil level and see how overfull it may be ? I have seen many with alot of gas mixed in there and clear over full.
First thing I can think of that would cause an oil leak for several days.

John Deere dropped the H on your BN at serial # 201000.If trac has wide rear axle,it is BN,if it has standard rear axle it is a B with single front. Merry Christmas

I had that problem with an A or B, can't remember which but they have the same setup. The problem was the stamped steel plate behind the pulley/clutch assembly. The oil drain hole(s) in the bottom of the plate were plugged so the oil couldn't run back. To check/fix this problem, you need to remove the pulley/clutch and then the bolts holding this stamped steel plate. The holes on the bottom will be plugged with stuff if that is the problem. When putting it back together, use locktite on the bolts so the bolts don't come loose and break off the dogs on the back of the pulley. The older As and Bs had wire throught these bolts.

Thanks, I know it does have a carb issue. What is the difference between styled and unstyled?? Also it needs tires 11-42 where do I find them??
