well if you count propane as gas Minneapolis Moline did assemble a few G1350's with HD800 LP engines turning 240hp. For that matter even a few HD800 G1000 Vista were built.

The largest John Deere gas built was a 4230. They only built a very small number. The 4030 was also avalible as a gas.

My BIL has a CIH 7140 non-front assist. It's in the 200HP range. Jim

Not sure horsepower-wise, but from a physical standpoint the Twin City 60-90 has to be close. 2,200 cubic inches, 7.25 bore x 9 stroke, 6 cylinder, 500 r.p.m. Whole tractor weighs 28,000 pounds. Absolutely an awesome machine! As far as I know there's only one running tractor left.

Certainly not a Deere and not a 2-wheeler either, but Versatile offered a gas engine in the 60"s: a Ford 391 V8 putting out 165 hp. I can only imagine that they would have been quite thirsty.

Minneapolis Moline made a small number of gasoline G1000"s. That is 110 hp with 504 cubic inches. I dont think anybody knows how many they made as the serial numbers go along with the LP"s, but i dont think it was many at all.

The highest hp Deere was probably the 4230 at 100hp.

Big Twin City 40 (40 H.P. but they meant equal to 40 draft horses, not the same way we express horse power today). Twin City was the forerunner of Minneapolis Moline and, they made bigger gas tractors than the 40. --Walt--
P.S. this shot was taken at the M.R.V.S.E.A show in Boonville Mo.
Turn your sound up! and click on the full screen icon too.
Cubic inches are probably well over 1,000---It's a ground pounder.
