51 A main bearing caps

I am having a hard time finding the torque specs
for the main bearing cap bolts for my A.
any help will be appreciated. Also I can't
get a socket on the block mounting bolts.
Is there a special tool to use to set the torque on these?

JD didn't usually give specs. on alot of those fastners.
Many times I use a bolt torque chart that goes by standard size and grade.

On the block bolts you can use an adapter kinda like a crows foot,but then technicaly you have to adjust your settings for the extra length.
Or use the old fashioned method. Lets say you want 200 ft lbs. grab a box end wrench grab it 12" out and if you weigh 200lbs. hang on the wrench. Wala ! 200 ft. lbs. This will give you a good idea of how to tighten them by feel.

What grade would they be?The only marking is a small square on the center on head.
