51 G gauge color

Are the gauges on a 51 G white or black? The ones on it now are broken and I can"t tell the color.

Guages were White.

White. The Black started with the numbered series.

White on a 1951. Black face gauges started with factory water pumps, pre-dating number series about a year.

I understand they turned black on the G when the numbered series came out. That would make it a late 1952 G model as they continued production into 1953. Call Jerry Trcka at Evergreen Restoration, he can give u the exact date and he sells very acurate gauges.
