51 A main bearings

Dose anybody know of or have a set of .010 under main bearings ? The owner of the crank took it to a shop to have it polished it came out of a junker and they took it apon them selfs to grind it .020 and .010 . i fuond rod bearings but looking for mains . Any leads would help. thanks

Mains should be shimmed, just remove shims to get the proper clearance. .004 to .006

Unless it's like my 52' A which uses a bushing pressed into a casting for a main bearing. No shims there.

You would still have to start with the proper sized bearing shells. Otherwise you will be .004-.006 in 2 spots and .014-.016 in the other spots around the journal. Not a good situation.

Doesn't the shop have a source for the bearings?

51 A doesn't have shimms, you have to buy new bushings which are undersized and have to be bored to fit even a standard crank, so hopefuly they were undersized enough to fit your turned crank

I took the crank from an older tractor and it has shims i will use these . but need shells .
