Would the fact I have a 2 Cyl Club document stating that a 1949 B that I own was shipped to the Dallas Branch then sold at my then locale JD dealership(King Bros) make this tractor any more valuable ???
Thanks,Jim

PS what's a lowest value of the F&H 273(I think that's the #) adjustable frt wheels for a B?

I would say it doesn't add value, but it is up to the individual looking to buy the tractor. Its nice information to have for restoration or for Historical purposes, but no added value in my opinion. The going rate for a research is $35 so I would say there is your added value.

I would say it dosen't do much for the value in most cases. On the other hand if it validates the fact that the tractor is on of a low build number, or first or last tractor then it helps. I have a 1936 AO, one of about 850 built before the AOS came out. I think for a tractor like this the documentation strenthens the value.

ET you make a valid point. I don't have any tractors that qualify in that realm so I wasn't thinking in those terms and since he asked about a '49 B it also didn't trigger that train of thought, but very good point.

I just wondered if it might make the tractor more valuable because what would be a good estimate of what percentage of collected JD 2 cylinders can be documented to the "selling dealer"??????????

I think I still have the receipt where my dad bought our 1950 JD B new.
As a piece of paper, it isn't worth anything, but for the other reasons,
it is priceless to me.

That sheet of paper upped the value of an 840 of mine. It had been pulled from the production line. Built into a prototype engineering mule. Then rebuilt back to "stock" and sold as "new".
