Looking at a 720 ES start. clam shell fenders, NF with roll-o-matic, 3-point, fairly straight tin, paint is 'okay'. ~75% tread on rears. power steering which has a 'little' leak...

what do you think is reasonable to offer? (location is in OH)

i sold my 720d es at expo last summer for 10 grand, it was completely rebuilt with wide front and new tires. i would say 6 to 7 but the price of old cars and tractors are down now

Was electric start an original option on the 720D, or did that not become available until the 730D?

The three point is a huge plus, worth nearly $1,500 all by itself. Everybody loves electric start, but I can't remember if that would be original or re-fit.

I'd guess $6,000 to $7,000.

If your heart is set on a 720 or 730, I would urge you to buy a gas model. They are simple and can be worked on by an ordinary person under a shade tree. Unless you are a two-cylinder diesel mechanic, the diesel models are a huge money pit that can easily swallow thousands of dollars.

With just about 1900 built they are worth every bit of $8500, they where only built for 8 months, but a tractor only worth what someone is willing to give and money just isn't around like it was 2 years ago. Is this thread about the one in photo ads?????

This says there were 29,000 made over 3 years...

could be wrong though

I just bought one very close to what you describe. Black Dash 720 D ES, NF with roll-o-matic, clam shells, full 3pt with factory center link, new tires, repainted in the 80's very straight tin looks very good still. Guy wanted $7500 for just that tractor. I bought it and a few other things he had. Located in Iowa

Heres mine I have $7000 into the way it sets.
