How I post pics directly from my computer

Earlier I posted a pic directly from my computer and Kurt_JDB asked how I did it. Here's how:

At the bottom of a new post or a reply to a post I click on "Upload Photo" under Advanced Posting Procedures. This opens a new small sub-screen where I click on "Browse".

This opens "My Pictures" on my computer where I select the folder I want and then click the pic I want. Then I click on "Open".

After I click on "Open" my computer goes back to the small sub-screen where I click on "Upload".

After a delay of 5 or 6 seconds, the pic I selected appears on the sub-screen and then I click "Continue".

After checking over the text of my message I click on "Post Message".

I have used that method before, but my pictures seem to be reduced in size when I upload them. What size photo do you upload? Thanks,

Had to try it, thanks for the tip. Hope it works !! ;^)
P.S. @ 28.8Kbps dialup, it took 2 smokes and a 'Bud'

I always reduce them to 480x360 and it seems to work.

after i click on continue mine goes back to select another picture instead of saying post.

Kurt,
I'm not sure but I think it depends on the size you have set up in your camera. Go back to my earlier post where I tried to answer your question.

Don't know what to tell you except, did you scroll up to where it shows Post Message and click on that?

Here is a picture I posted earlier today to the parts and pieces gallery using the classic view.

Here is the exact same picture posted under the modern view with this post.

I wonder why posting under the classic view reduced the size?

Once you have brought up the picture and made your upload, ignore the prompt and go (up) to preview your reply. (PatB)

Hi Pete - yes, that is the step he missed. It can be a little squirelly until you've done it a time or two. I guess. (PatB)
