Just purchased this 1957 620 and it has an exhaust spacer part #R 21057 R on it...my1958 620 does not have one. What is the purpose of the spacer?
Thanks, Rich

Unless you want the muffler raised higher above the hood, there is no reason for it. To my recollection it was never offered on a 620. 630's and 730's had to have it for the muffler to clesr the hood, due a different design in the hood.

Rich, DP is corect as the R21057 R spacer was used on the 30 series only. The other thing I observed is that someone has mounted the rear cast centers in reverse. The pinion adjusting bolt was always facing the outside of the cast center, not inward. Needed wheel spacing should be able to be achieved with the pinion bolt turned outward. I have never seen one mounted in that fashion.

Nice looking original paint 620!!!

It looks like the radiator top tank is off of a 630. That would explain the 630 muffler spacer and the taller radiator neck. You should be able to switch the radiator neck with a 620 neck and not have to change the top tank.

You don't see nice original paint like that very much. Especially in OHIO !

Who knows why it has the 630 spacer and rad. neck on it ? Looks like it's been there a long time too.

As far as the back wheels you can turn them any way you need to get the width needed. Maybe someone actually needed the extra 2" ? and turned them that way ? no biggy.

Thanks to all the replies on the exhaust spacer and the radiator neck.
Previous owner ( 38 years) central Wisconsin said at one time in it's history the fan went through the radiator...so I bet that's when the 630 tank top was put in.
It has the single front rock shaft and rear dual hydraulics. Tractor hasn't been run in years so am going thru everything first before trying to start it. Went thru the fuel system/carb today...next electrical. I think it's going to be a nice tractor.I am adding a 4 piece front weight set, 3-point and float ride seat.

Thanks, Rich
