1960 jd 440 iD fuel pump

i have been redoing my machine since i purchased it and notice fuel pump is leaking. anyone know of a rebuild kit or somewhere to buy a new pump. thanks

It's just a plain ordinary common as dirt gear
pump that Detroit Diesel used on 53 series engines.
Your friendly local heavy diesel parts dealer can
order in a seal kit. Sometimes the parts books don't
contain 2-53 listings. Look for 3-53 or 4-53 parts
if required.

I was reading a few things haven't called detroit yet. Is there a rotation on this pump left or right ?

Sort of. Depends which end of the engine it's bolted to and which way the engine is rotating.
Doesn't take much to turn a two stroke Detroit around and rotate the opposite way.
