5020 shifting adjustment

I was wondering if there are any special ways or tricks to adjusting the shifting linkages on my 5020. I have trouble getting things to stay into gears like fifth, seventh and eighth. I shift into those gears and if i let the clutch out too fast it just pops out of the gear and sits there. Any help would be great!

It sounds like your sychronizer is going bad..That's the way they act when they start going bad...

Could be dirt built up on top of clutch housing restricting movement of shifter arm.

hi--yes,check under the dash for dirt build-up(or a mouse condo). straight down from the hand shifter,on the rite side where the rods go down to the transmission case. this happened to me fine dust got wet and became concrete. i hope you
are a contortionist or have a small son-lol.
