4020D compression

Its in the shop getting a set of new injectors (4 tested bad and the last 2 were almost bad) and I had them run a compression test on it. The foreman said they came out excellent and surprisingly close to each other (5 were 375 1 was 360). What are the normal ranges? I had them test the trans pump and it came out low on flow (<3gpm at pressure) so they are tossing one of them in as well. I'm also having them toss in a lift pump and a set of brakes on it while its in the shop getting the other stuff done. I don't have much other work planned for it right now. I am hoping with the new injectors it will run a lot smoother and stronger.

I don't have a service manual but a "similar" speed, size and rpm diesel project here. Is rated in the factory info as having 535psi compression pressure and 1050 firing pressure.

Do you know what compression that engine runs? I havn't had much luck finding that data in my Service manual (SM 2039). I havn't had it very long so I am probably not looking in the right place. Any engine rebuilders have any clue? Tim? Any body else out there know what thiers ran?

Test PSI is dependent on how fast you've got your 4020 diesel cranking. Same goes for any tractor.

If spinning at 450-475 RPM - it's supposed to test at 450 - 475 PSI.

If spinning at 200 RPM - it will only read around 300 PSI.

Main thing to look for is having all the cylinders close to the same.

I didn't run the test. The dealership did it. I honestly do not know what RPM a starter rolls one over. Thanks for the input.
