2155 with dual scv's?

I have a neighbor with a 2155 with factory dual scv's that will extend a cylinder out but won't retract it until he swaps hoses over the opposite way. Then it will retract cyl. but not extend it. It operates the same on either set of scv's. If he operates this cylinder with his loader control valve cylinder works correctly. Loader works fineI'm leaning toward the female receiver on quik-disconnect as being the problem but haven't seen tractor yet. This tractor is equipped with the cheaper Pioneer type receivers with no handle to control oil flow. He bought tractor used and it was this way when he tried to operate a log splitter. Thanks for any ideas,Jim

Sounds logical. There maybe enough weight on the loader to force the oil past.
What happens when boom and bucket hoses are swapped?
The drains from those scv's, do they both dump back into the trans case?
Your buddy is going to be a lot happier with a dedicated loader joystick. A direct Power Beyond style oil supply and a ported filter return. Those Dubuques and Mannheims were skimpy on trans oil pump capacity compared to Waterloos.
He has possibly wornout the scv internals from loader use. The scv vales are just not made for that kind of extended and flow metering service with loaders.

Thanks for reply.
This tractor has a dedicatedloader joystick control and that is what he operates the log splitter off of. It's teed into back of pressure control valve and returns to hyd filter. The factory scv's are what won't operate a 2 way cyl both ways.

Jim we have run into this same issue with a 2950.. Some times just chaning the hose tips was enough to correct the problem..
Is the tractor open station or cab tractor.. (I was thinking there were different SCV's for each.. spool valves for the opens, and tapered seat valves for the cab tractors.. )

I haven't seen tractor just conversed on the phone. IIRC 2155's didn't come with SGB just open station. I don't know which type scv it has. I do know it has the cheaper plug-ins so it may have the spool typne valves.

The cylinder works correctly when plugged into the loader so it must be the scv or plug-ins. Thanks,Jim
