125-150 hp models

Does anyone have a convenient list of all the JD models that are between 125 and 150 pto HP? Neither tractor house nor tractor data breaks the models down that way. It would make searching for one a lot simpler if I knew all the models in that range. Would also consider an IH (this tractor will replace a 1066, incidentally). Looking to stay in the $20-30k range so that will probably rule out anything very new. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Tractordata does have it. When you select the brand you want to look at there are tabs at the top that say model, year, power, etc. Click on the tab that says power and it will sort them into groups by their horsepower.

Thanks, I hadn't seen it broken down like that before. I know the 4440 is a highly regarded model. What were other similar highly-regarded models in that HP range before and after the 4440?

I wouldn't look at the older models as $20-30K should buy the better 40 series with a cab.

JD kept the same numbers back then just changed the rear set. like 4230,4240 and 4430,4440 and kinda like that.

The 30 series were good tractors , but each series kept getting better 40 series,50 series then 55 series. The 55 series is still reguarded by many as the last GOOD tractors JD built.

also you might try looking on machinefinder.com because you can select which size range your looking for. i like it better than ELS.

Have both 4430&4450, both almost identical as far as physical size but 4450@135+ is like a super 4430@125 with many upgrades like better cab, hydro, better starting in cold as engine is different, more weight but not too much, both have 540,1000 rpm pto,4450 uses less fuel for same work.Originally bought 4450 to replace 4430 on loader but 4430 hasn"t given out yet at 19,000 original hrs. Both are quads shift. Use them every day feeding cattle from November through to May even in this last ten days of -30 Fahrenheit and colder. It"s finally warmed up only +10+20"s .. just right for winter.
