Purchased a used JD 2150 a few months back and would like to add remote hydraulics to the rear of the tractor. can anyone help me with the info and whats needed to do this? I talked with the local dealer but there isn't any remote hydra. available any more. Also what other model John Deere's would have used the same remote?
Thanks for the help!
Keith

Check the JD web site for the aprts list and cross compatability. The same scv and rear remotes were used on dozens of different models.
Your tractor was shipped without scv's?
What hydraulic loads are planning to connect?

It didn't come with remotes, I guess it was a option? Anyway I want to upgrade from a 7 foot sickle mower to a disc mower. I will need remote hydraulic for it I'm sure. We hope to pick up several more acres of hay land next season. We farm only 50 acres of hay land now. With a seven foot sickle mower it takes time to mow it. It anyone have any ideas of what can be done to add rear remotes it would be a great help.
Thanks Very Much!

A remote control or SCV from any 20,30,40,50 or 55 JD utility open-station model will fit except the 820,830 or early 2040's due to these being open-center and you need a closed-center valve. I'm referring to the models built for sales in the USA.

If a used SCV is un-obtainable a closed-center spool valve could be added in just the way a loader valve is added. Just fabricate an axle mount bracket and plumb it. Spool valve isn't as neat but it's functional.

jim i found rebuilt SCV valve for 450.00 and a rebuilt breakaway coupler assem. what else would I needed besides the hoses? Also thanks very much for the help

You will need the hyd fitting that screws in pressure control valve under RH foot rest and steel line or hose to go up to scv for hyd pressure oil. Also a short hyd hose and fittings with o-rings for return oil to rockshaft housing. The 2 steel lines that connect from scv to breakaway box.

Jim i found another which is complete spool type with all lines and all, off of a 2130 JD. Wasn't able to determine if it would work or not. Do you know were i can find this info?

They will work just fine. They all have the same part numbers and connect the exact same way.
One mode to consider maybe....................Would be to run the drain line from the scv valve to a ported filter cover. Rather than dump back to the trans sump.
The trans pump can't keep up with the larger front pump during extended duration/high flow loads. Such as log splitters and hydraulic motors.

JD engineers obviously didn't agree with your opinion as they produced many different model tractors over many years with the return going directly to the rockshaft housing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not everyone has a desire to run an hydraulic motor or log spitter on their tractor.
