How hard is it to change rockshafts in a 1961 4010 diesel. My shaft is broke on the outside and the bolt that goes through the end of it is the only thing holding it together. If not to difficult what would the procedure be. Thanks

Are you saying the shaft itself is broken or the upper rockshaft arm?

The shaft isn"t too bad to remove and replace if that is the case. You would have to remove the seat assembly and the attached hydraulic lines. You can then unbolt the rockshaft housing and lift it off (I usually use an engine lift or something). Removal and replacement of the shaft is quite simple ... just make sure you get the timing marks lined up upon reinstallation.
