4010 rockshaft

How hard is it to change the rockshaft in a 1961 4010 diesel and what all is involved. Thanks

If you mean re-move and re-place the rockshaft, thats an easy job,,if you mean to add one to a tractor that did not come with one,,thats a diferent story,and a much harder job..

just want to replace it. The one in my tractor has a lot of play on the right side and appears to be broke on the other. I have not taken 3 pt arm off to check completely yet.

It's not that bad to ,remove the dozen or so 1/2 in. bolts around the perimiter(seat and side sheilds first),the pressure line on the right and the return line on the left front,the 3pt. cable,I have a bracket that bolts onto where the seat blots on,extended foward about 6in. of the front hole this lets it lift level, go up about 8inches to clear the cam follower, when you go back on be sure to keep the roller "behind" the cam.
