1974 John Deere 7520 two speed pto?

Just purchased a 7520 and it has a two speed pto. My question is how does it work and what does it actually do as far as the two different speeds? Not real sure about this as it was made when I was born! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The 7520 has no live PTO, it's transmission driven,the high/low shift in the input shaft of the trans. creates the so called hi/low Pto, but it's only 15 percent different in speed, it just accedently became 2 spd. because of this..

It's not really a 2-speed PTO, you just have 2 different engine speeds where you achieve full 1000 rpm PTO speed, depending on if the 2-speed lever is in "HI" or "LO".
